Meet Dr. Angelyn

Dr. Angelyn Franks is a speech-language pathologist, burnout expert, and stress researcher who brings a unique combination of lived clinical experience and research-based insight to your team.

Because she has experienced burnout in the same systems your team works in, she understands the real pressures clinicians face and speaks directly to those realities with optimism and hope, rather than toxic positivity.

Her sessions focus on the root causes of clinician burnout rather than surface-level wellness strategies.

Participants leave with practical frameworks and tools they can immediately apply in their professional and personal lives.

The goal is not simply to help your team feel better for a day. It i's to equip them with a clearer understanding of what sustainable practice looks like and how to move toward it.

Supporting your clinicians in this way strengthens your team, your culture, and ultimately the care your clients receive.

FROM BURNOUT TO BALANCE

What the Research Says About Stress, Burnout, and Thriving at Work & in Life

Grounded in research on stress and burnout, the Whole Clinician Blueprint helps clinicians understand the biology of chronic stress, understand the six evidence-based causes of clinician burnout, reconnect with the values that brought them to this work, and build strategies that actually fit into their current life and role. No toxic positivity. No generic wellness tips. Just honest, research-backed frameworks that meet your team where they are.

PERMISSION TO PLAY

A Self-Care Framework for Clinician Wellbeing

As helping professionals, we spend our days supporting our clients in developing the skills they need to play, communicate, and connect. And yet we rarely give ourselves the same permission. This session draws on research from the National Institute of Play to help participants understand the science behind why play and restoration matter, not just for the people we serve, but for us as clinicians.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Can you do follow-up sessions after the event?

    • Absolutely. A session is often a great starting point for deeper work. Feel free to book an inquiry call so we can discuss a package that includes your event plus follow-up training, coaching, or consulting support tailored to your team's needs.

  • Can you customize a session for our specific audience?

    • Yes. I have additional angles on all of these topics and can combine elements to meet your goals. If you do not see exactly what you are looking for, definitely share what you're looking for and I am happy to work with you to support your team.

  • Do you speak to audiences outside of speech-language pathology?

    • Yes. While my clinical background is in the SLP world, the frameworks I teach apply across helping professions. I have spoken and collaborated with mixed clinical teams, school-based professionals, paraprofessionals, administrators, and organizational leaders. If your audience shows up to serve others, this work is for them.

  • Do you present in-person or virtually?

    • Both. I am based in Central, Arkansas (closest airport LIT) and available to travel for in-person engagements across the country. All sessions are also available virtually with no travel required. Travel and accommodations are added to the in-person session fee and will be discussed during our speaking inquiry call.

  • Do you offer CEUs for your sessions?

    • Sessions are offered for Professional Development Hours (PDHs), which count toward license renewal and ongoing professional growth for most professionals. If your organization would like to submit for Continuing Education Units (CEUs) through ASHA, I am happy to complete all necessary paperwork to support that process.
